GEORGIA FOOD TOUR
9-16th of September 2026 £3800 - Fully inclusive
We are delighted to announce upcoming food tours in Georgia with Chef and authour Olia Hercules. Join us on a journey to this majestic, culture-rich country with its welcoming, charismatic people, outlandish landscapes and unique food culture.
We will eat, walk, cook and sing (the family we will be staying with in Mountain Ajara near Batumi are amazing cooks and polyphonic singers). To those who are interested, Olia can also give a memoir-writing workshop, so please do bring your favourite journal with you for some food and travel writing exercises.
We always offer the most authentic, safe and socially responsible travel experiences. All of our trips have been designed by us. We don’t use other travel companies to lead our tours.
We only use local guides and local accommodation, so all money goes straight to local communities and tour contributes directly to local economy & sustainability.
We feel we offer the best way to experience culture and nature of rural Georgia and that is why our customers come back to us time and again:
On all of group tours our maximum size is 10 usually less, giving you better opportunities to interact with locals and minimising your impact.
We use best and trusted local guides on all our group tours, ensuring your trip runs smoothly from start to finish.
We aim to use authentic and interesting accommodation – usually the best available – as we believe the right accommodation can boost the overall experience.
We always offer our trips on an all-inclusive basis.
We include drinking water and soft drinks; there is no hidden cost.
We aim to use the most interesting, safe and comfortable transport available.
We also support number of projects in Nyzhnie Selyshche-village that we visit the most and give donations to all social projects that we visit on our tours.

Day 1
We will meet in Georgia’s magnetic capital - Tbilisi. First, we will have a delicious lunch, and after a strong coffee - will be ready for a walking tour around the city as well as a quick visit to National Museum of Georgia. We will finish our eventful day at the beautiful restaurant called Azarpesha - with its antique Georgian objects, special atmosphere, delicious food and organic wine.
Day 2
We will set out to the Eastern Georgian town called Signagi, specifically to the legendary restaurant called Pheasant Tears. We will have a tour around one of the best Georgian low-intervention vineyards and will have a meal at the restaurant where genius cook Gia Rokashvilli will prepare a very special feast for us and we will get to taste and buy some wine too if you like. We will then walk around beautiful Signagi. We will return to Tbilisi for some snooze time before our next exciting part of the journey.
Day 3
We will take a train to Batumi by the Black Sea coast. There, we will have a quick stop to have a lunch at a sea side restaurant and will then take a private bus to our guest house in Ajarian mountains. Welcoming dinner with traditional Georgian singing will await us at the guest house with breathtaking views.

Day 5
We will visit the mountain village of Tago using vintage cable car from a little town called Khulo. We will visit a local family who will cook us the most delicious lunch (matsoni soup with a lot of garlic, simple fried potatoes and Charkhali - one of my favourite salads involving beets and a sour plum sauce called tkemali, after lunch we will take a walk around the village and we will learn how to make khachapuri back at the guest house.
Day 6
We will visit high pastures of Ajaria, making suluguni cheese high up in the mountains, a breath-taking foraging walk (9 km back from the pastures). We will then prepare our last meal together, using beautiful local ingredients. We will sing, dance and be merry before catching some much-needed sleep.
Day 7
Departure to Batumi and some wild swimming on the way (woohoo!). We will stop at a 12th century Tamara bridge and waterfall on the way. We will then have lunch at local citrus orchard with a local family. We will finish the day with a dinner at a restaurant in Batumi, tasting local dishes and wine.
Day 8
A visit to the stunning Batumi botanical gardens with its subtropical plants and stunning sea views. This will be followed by a fish market, where we will choose freshly caught fish and have a lunch right there, enjoying a calming sea view.
