Terms and conditions of booking with Experience Ukraine Ltd.
MAVKA Folk Tours is operated by Experience Ukraine Ltd.
To secure a place on your tour, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £400 per person, unless advised otherwise. We’re flexible in how you can do this, so you can choose from one of the following options:
Book online via contact us on the relevant tour page.
Or transfer the deposit directly into our company account.
We cannot accept cheques.
We advise you to contact us directly before you book one of our tours.
We will also need you to complete a booking form with your personal details, which will be needed before your booking is fully confirmed.
If you would like us to arrange anything before or after the tour and advise on your flights, we can do it for you for a small fee. Once we have received your deposit, we will send you full confirmation of your booking as well as other information regarding the tour that you booked. The full balance for your tour will then be payable eight weeks (60 days) before departure. The final balance can only be paid by direct bank transfer. We do not accept any debit or credit card payments.
Travel and Medical insurance.
Experience Ukraine has its own public liability insurance.
Please make sure you obtain your own medical and
travel insurance in case of tour cancellation.
Cancellation Policy:
If booking is cancelled by the client more than 60 days before departure, the company will retain the client’s deposit only. If the client decides to cancel 59 days prior to departure, the client is obligated to pay the full balance of the tour previously booked.
If the company decides to cancel a tour due to Covid restrictions or an unsafe situation in the country where the tour is happening, the company will refund all funds that were paid by the client minus payment processing fees. (For example, if the client paid a deposit of £400, the company receives only £380 after fees, and in this case £380 is going to be refunded to the client.) We may also offer in some circumstances to transfer the deposit to other group tours run by our company.
We place the utmost importance on your safety and we only run tours in circumstances where we believe that it is safe to do so. You may find that during the time the tour is offered, Foreign and Commonwealth Office Advice may advise against non-essential travel to that country because of the general Covid situation. However, in our experience, much of such a blanket approach does not reflect the real risk or true situation in the country, and we have seen such advisories being applied even when the situation in the country has been at the Green level. We make our assessment of the situation by communicating directly with our partners on site and local agents. If you decide not to travel because of FCO advice, unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a refund.
